XL Specialized Trailers is a leading manufacturer of custom Heavy Haul Trailers, and we are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled Industrial Painter to perform a full range of specialized coating projects by applying a variety of specialized coatings through the operation of paint spraying equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate spray paint systems and pressure-pot spray systems to apply prime coat paint and top coat paints.
- Work with solvents, cleaners, paints, and coatings to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Move components by operating an overhead crane, using safe work habits.
- Assist in prepping components, sanding, and reworking paint to meet specifications.
- Verify specifications by conducting self-inspections and documenting actions.
- Maintain equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements and following operating procedures.
- Resolve paint problems by adjusting processes to meet specifications and notifying supervisors as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of industrial painting experience.
- Proven ability to operate painting equipment.
- Basic understanding of shop math and ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Attention to quality and pride in workmanship.
- Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
Work is primarily performed indoors, and the ability to wear a respirator is required.
