Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist at Stillwater Medical, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic X-Ray and CT equipment, performing data manipulation and processing, and thoroughly explaining procedures to patients. You will also be responsible for reviewing and evaluating orders, images, and video to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate diagnostic X-Ray and CT equipment
  • Perform data manipulation and processing
  • Explain procedures to patients
  • Review and evaluate orders, images, and video
  • Perform venipuncture
  • Reinforce patient compliance issues
  • Perform exams per protocol
  • Screen patients for contraindications to intravenous contrast infusion
  • Consult with radiologist when appropriate
  • Process, network, and film images
  • Prepare room, equipment, supplies, and contrast media
  • Transport and transfer patients
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and information for the patients' medical record
  • Record, process, and maintain patient data into appropriate EMR/PACs system

Requirements:

  • Graduated from a JCERT approved Radiological Technology training program with at least one-year clinical experience
  • Current ARRT (CT) registry card on file, or registry eligible, or ARRT (R) registered and/or actively pursuing CT advanced certification
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Current CPR card or completion of course within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work in latex burdened environment
  • Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing
  • Able to frequently lift to 60 pounds, reach, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel
  • Demonstrates adequate vision or correctable glass to read, write, and evaluate medical images
  • Able to hear or correctable with hearing devices and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the telephone
  • Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately observe, monitor, and administer care
  • Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care
