Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Business Systems Analyst with a focus on application recovery and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with business stakeholders to gather insights on application usage and recovery needs.
- Complete application recovery documentation and identify potential risks and issues in existing plans.
- Deliver comprehensive templates for application recovery along with gap analysis and mitigation strategies for identified risks.
- Develop a robust plan to ensure the continuity of business application services during crises or operational disruptions, covering a diverse range of over 80 applications across various technologies.
Business Impact Analysis:
The Analyst will collaborate closely with both business and technology teams to produce standardized documentation, utilizing interview insights and system documentation to create accurate assessments.
Threat Identification and Risk Assessment:
- Analyze internal and external threats that could impact organizational recovery efforts.
- Document identified risks in a risk register and classify them accordingly.
- Assess how unknowns, constraints, and dependencies contribute to risk, and their potential negative impacts on the organization.
- Understand the organization's risk tolerance to categorize findings and recommend appropriate actions.
Team Collaboration:
This role involves working with various business teams to update and maintain recovery documentation, identify gaps, and propose actionable recovery plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, business applications, or a related field is required; education in GRC or business continuity is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis with a solid understanding of business applications and their architecture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with business users and team members.
- Proven ability to work within high-performing teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges while focusing on business objectives.
- Experience with various application technologies is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
