Telehealth Physician Opportunity

OpenTelemed Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telehealth Physician to join our innovative telehealth services team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Delivery: Provide a wide range of telehealth services, including evaluation and management, online digital visits, and non-face-to-face nonphysician telephone services.
  • Supervision and Collaboration: Supervise nurses and other healthcare staff, ensuring they perform their duties effectively, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and treatment plans.
  • Diagnostic and Treatment: Prescribe diagnostic tests, analyze results, and explain them to patients, formulate suitable treatment plans for non-threatening conditions, and prescribe appropriate medications with proper dosage and administration instructions.
  • Patient Monitoring and Education: Conduct assessments and management via phone, internet, or EHR, including generating verbal and written reports, and educate patients on self-care strategies, suitable diets, and exercise regimens to improve their overall health.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Chronic Condition Management: Assist patients in managing chronic health conditions through continuous monitoring and follow-up.
  • Training and Development: Contribute to the training of telehealth practitioners across various specialties, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality care.
Requirements:
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Holistic or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Licensure: Valid license to practice medicine, with a willingness to obtain additional state medical licenses as needed.
  • Certification: Board-certified in family or internal medicine or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience working as a telemedicine physician is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, ability to consult with patients through virtual communication channels, and a patient and compassionate disposition with a detail-oriented approach to patient care.
