Surgical Technologist Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist is a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a surgical conscience, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the surgical room and equipment for procedures

  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team and patients
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
  • BCLS certification required
Work Environment:

The Surgical Technologist will work in a fast-paced surgical environment, with frequent exposure to body fluids and tissues. The ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure is essential.

Physical Demands:

The Surgical Technologist will be required to stand for long periods, move about the surgical suite, and lift equipment and supplies. The ability to work safely and effectively in a physically demanding environment is essential.
