Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Fair Oaks Foods. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ammonia refrigeration system, as well as other facility utilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair ammonia refrigeration equipment, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and pumps.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Work closely with contractors, electricians, and pipefitters to ensure compliance with company safety policies and work standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to ensure seamless operation of facility utilities and equipment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of environmental programs and risk management plans.
  • Provide technical analysis and services to support real-time data on refrigeration and operational equipment.
  • Ensure ammonia compressors are operating safely and efficiently to reduce energy consumption.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical or refrigeration maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and GCAP Ammonia Technician Certification preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite CMMS.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment with extended periods of standing and walking. The employee must be able to climb ladders and work at heights, as well as work in cold and hot temperatures.
