Job Opportunity

The Duluth Bethel Society is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals in large quantities
  • Estimate food quantities and assist with food ordering and stocking
  • Help direct and train cooks, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Follow standardized recipes and menu plans, and accommodate special diets as needed
  • Assist with menu planning and preparation, and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Ability to clear a criminal background study
  • Two years of prior experience in institutional cooking preferred, but not required
  • Must obtain a food handlers license (paid by the Bethel)
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population and maintain a positive attitude
