Point of Sale Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Gumby's Cigarette and Beer World Store. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating our point of sale (POS) system, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet and acknowledge every customer, provide outstanding service, and maintain a customer-friendly environment.
- Point of Sale Operations: Complete all POS transactions, including accepting returned merchandise, voiding sales transactions, and controlling cash, checks, and credit/debit receipts.
- Inventory Management: Replenish merchandise on shelves and coolers, participate in receiving merchandise, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Communication: Communicate maintenance issues, incident reports, and POS/equipment issues to your Lead or Store Manager in a timely manner.
- Teamwork: Assist colleagues as needed and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior work experience in a retail setting, preferably with a point of sale system.
- Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic math skills.
This position requires standing, walking, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects. The employee must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a moderate noise level environment.
