Role Overview: The System of Care Training Specialist will play a pivotal role in delivering training, credentialing, and technical support within the Family and Youth Support and Education Program. This position entails creating engaging training sessions that utilize best practices in adult learning for both in-person and virtual environments.
Essential Qualifications:
- Applicants should have a minimum of 12 months of relevant personal or caregiving experience with Serious Emotional Disturbance.
- Experience in Youth/Family Peer Support roles is essential.
- A bachelor's degree with at least one year of pertinent work experience or an Associate's degree with three years of related experience is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across agencies are necessary.
- Certification as a Certified Family Peer SpecialistTM is highly desirable.
- Leadership experience in Youth/Family Peer Support is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training, Credentialing, and Technical Support:
- Design and execute training programs for Family/Youth Support Partners.
- Conduct workshops addressing the mental health needs of children and youth.
- Provide training to grassroots organizations in areas such as leadership and community development. - Enhancing Family Capacity:
- Facilitate connections between families and relevant partners.
- Establish peer support networks.
- Foster leadership skills among families. - Program Outreach and Information Sharing:
- Update and disseminate program information.
- Offer technical assistance in response to inquiries. - Statewide Needs Assessment for Program Development:
- Collaborate on the creation of a needs assessment.
- Conduct interviews and focus groups with stakeholders.
- Transform data into actionable program goals and objectives.
