Position Summary

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to earn competitive hourly wages along with comprehensive benefits. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective operation of electrical systems within our facilities. This includes conducting inspections, performing routine maintenance, and rectifying any electrical faults. Proficiency in reading blueprints and adherence to the National Electric Code is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize both mechanical and electrical skills in a continuous process manufacturing environment to maintain machine uptime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and components to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and develop maintenance or repair strategies to address issues.
  • Perform significant electrical repairs and installations, ensuring systems operate at full capacity.
  • Test and repair all electrical facilities using tools such as voltmeters and oscilloscopes to maintain safety and compatibility.
  • Interpret complex electrical and mechanical schematics to guide service and repairs.
  • Advise on the lifespan of equipment and recommend replacements or modifications to enhance production capacity.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including inventory of supplies used.
  • Install conduits and electrical wiring for machinery and cranes.
  • Ensure regular maintenance schedules are adhered to, minimizing the risk of complex issues and reducing costs.
  • Possess the ability to obtain a Journeyman Electricians card; a Crane Inspector card is advantageous.
  • Actively participate in safety protocols and adhere to safe work practices in accordance with industry regulations.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma with 4 years of Electrical Trade School experience.
  2. Familiarity with standard shop mathematics.

Experience:

  1. 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance is preferred.
  2. Relevant electrician certification or license.
  3. Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  4. Strong interpersonal and technical skills.
  5. Experience with testing equipment such as voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
  6. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  7. Ability to effectively plan, organize, and communicate.

Essential Functions:

Preferred Qualifications:
