Job Summary:

The California State University is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing technical and non-technical projects from initiation to completion. This includes working with cross-functional project teams, managing project activities, creating project schedules, tracking tasks and timelines, communicating deliverables and project status, and ensuring the successful execution of projects as per plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical and non-technical projects from initiation to completion
  • Work with cross-functional project teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Manage project activities, create project schedules, and track tasks and timelines
  • Communicate deliverables and project status to stakeholders
  • Ensure the successful execution of projects as per plan
  • Manage operational systems and processes
  • Perform evaluations, including analyzing processes, workflow, and functional needs
  • Develop, design, implement, train, and maintain systems consistent with these needs
  • Provide consultative support to students, staff, and faculty to enhance the use and access of technology and information systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university or college in Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Five years full-time relevant experience or equivalent experience managing technical projects
  • Project Management Institute PMP Certification current and in good standing
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing skills
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and manage technical projects at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full life cycle development, systems implementation experience, and Business Analyst experience
  • Understanding of technologies such as network topology, server infrastructure, and application development
  • Understanding of common IT terminologies and systems engineering concepts
