Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Operator to join our team at the City of Tulsa. As a key member of our water and sewer operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Monitor and control water and wastewater treatment processes to ensure optimal quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least three months of experience in heavy manual labor or a related field.
  • Valid Oklahoma Class D driver's license required; Class B CDL with applicable endorsements within six months of hire (some positions).
  • Valid Oklahoma Class D Water/Wastewater License within nine months of hire.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working Wednesday-Saturday, 7:00am-5:30pm. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to physical demands, including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
