Electroencephalographic Technologist

Matrix Providers is seeking a highly skilled Electroencephalographic Technologist to perform routine diagnostic studies and services in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurodiagnostics and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine diagnostic studies and services
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Determine if any special patient preparation is required
- Modify or adjust the recording strategy and/or instrument parameters
- Process studies and submit them to the requesting physician
- Document all procedures and maintain records
- Perform system calibrations and quality control tasks
- Recognize the need for and institute emergency measures
- Review and disposition consultation requests
- Schedule patients
- Maintain equipment and electrodes
- Educate patients regarding the studies performed
- Perform urgent and expedited EEG studies
- Perform EEG and/or evoked potentials in various settings
- Maintain continuing medical education credits
- Certificate in the specialty area
- Current certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
- Basic life support (BLS) through an American Heart Association approved training program
- One year of full-time experience as an Electroencephalographic Technologist
