Electroencephalographic Technologist Position

Job Summary:
Matrix Providers is seeking a skilled Electroencephalographic Technologist to perform routine diagnostic studies and services. The ideal candidate will adhere to safety policies and procedures, determine special patient preparation needs, and modify recording strategies as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Process studies and submit them to requesting physicians
- Document procedures and maintain records in accordance with established policies
- Perform system calibrations and quality control tasks
- Recognize emergency situations and institute necessary measures
- Educate patients regarding studies performed
- Maintain equipment and electrodes
- Perform urgent and expedited EEG studies
- Work in inpatient and outpatient settings, including NICU, PICU, and ICU environments
Requirements:
- Certificate in the specialty area
- Current certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
- Basic life support certification through an American Heart Association approved training program
- One year of full-time experience as an Electroencephalographic Technologist
