Job Title: Registered Nurse - Inpatient Behavioral Health

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Behavioral Health team at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, a member of the Mass General Brigham system. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, including mood disorders, chronic conditions, and dual diagnoses.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 32 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts. You will be part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, working closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Provide for patient safety by maintaining a safe milieu and determining how to utilize the milieu to meet patients' needs.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • De-escalation training required within 30 days of hire or transfer into department.
  • Psychiatric and geriatric nursing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills required.
