Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in a long-term care setting. This position requires a compassionate and skilled individual who can deliver high-quality care while promoting a positive and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support
  • Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as needed
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
