We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join our team at Saxon Global. As a .NET Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications using Microsoft's .NET infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have advanced proficiency in using Visual Basic .NET, SQL, WCF, Windows Form, Entity Framework, and experience in working with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Familiarity with architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC)) and architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC) is also required.

Other desired skills include experience with cloud services such as Azure or AWS, concurrent development source control (TFS), and excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Strong analytical skills, organization, and coordination skills are also essential.

The role requires onsite work in Cranston, RI, and candidates must be in or near Cranston because the 2nd round interview is onsite. The position is a 12-month contract that can extend.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Uses expertise to design, develop, code, test, and debug software.
  • Utilizing Microsoft's .NET infrastructure to create software solutions that meet clients' requirements.
  • Write clean, scalable code using VB.NET/C# programming languages.
  • Reformulating existing code to ensure adherence to stipulated guidelines.
  • Collaborating with coworkers to facilitate the creation of large, complex developments, as required.
  • Participate in code reviews and requirements analysis.
  • Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding Windows Form apps.
  • Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture.
  • Use and adapt existing windows and web applications for apps.
  • Create and test software.
  • Develop client displays and user interfaces.
  • Assist software personnel in handling project-related work and other requirements.
  • Requirements and Skills:
  • 6+ years of experience in the software industry in Object-Oriented analysis and design, development, testing, and implementation of applications using Microsoft Technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in using Visual Basic .NET, SQL, WCF, Windows Form, Entity Framework.
  • Experience in working with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC)).
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud services such as Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with concurrent development source control (TFS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
