Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Converter Systems Design

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Power Converter Systems Design Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing power converter systems for space satellite systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop power converter systems for space satellite systems using simulation tools and lab setups
  • Work closely with mechanical engineers to accommodate device thermals and manufacturing to mitigate sourcing choke-points
  • Conduct comprehensive simulations and lab measurements to validate electrical and thermal integrity of designs
  • Subject designs to space qualification testing and analysis, including parts screening, design margin analysis, derating, thermal test, vacuum test, vibration test, and material analysis
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with board/module level design of switched-mode power converter circuits
  • Simulation and modeling using CAE tools such as Simplis, Siemens EDA Xpedition, and PADS
  • Hands-on prototyping skills and characterization of power converter circuit performance in the lab
  • Setting up and operating specialized power converter lab bench setups
  • Power systems and architecture for complex digital/RF systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with specific learning in switched-mode power converter circuit design
  • TS/SCI Secret security clearance within 24 months of hire
  • Familiarity with complex digital radio systems and space payload electronics
