Position Summary and Qualifications

Call Center Agent

We are looking for a Call Center Agent who will provide essential administrative support to ensure that all patients receive high-quality and efficient service. Our team is committed to supporting one another and we are eager to welcome a new member who shares our passion for patient care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the reception area, answer incoming calls, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.

• Schedule, modify, and cancel patient appointments as needed.

• Facilitate patient check-ins and accurately document registration information.

• Verify insurance details and patient demographics.

• Organize and maintain medical records.

• Perform copying and faxing tasks as required.

• Collect co-pays and process payments, ensuring accurate financial transactions.

• Enter charges and payments into the system, balancing daily transactions.

• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and our Mission and Value Statement.

• Undertake additional duties as necessary.

• Familiarize yourself with and comply with all relevant policies and procedures.

For practices certified as Patient Centered Medical Homes, additional responsibilities may include:

• Coordinating patient care continuity with external healthcare entities and facilitating referrals.

• Participating in data collection and reporting for health outcomes and program evaluations.

EXPERIENCE: Less than one year of experience is required; one to three years of experience is preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proficient in using standard office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and computers.

• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Competence in following written and verbal instructions.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of patient and employee information.
