We're seeking a skilled Senior Quantum Device Automation Engineer to contribute to our mission. Your expertise will be crucial in designing, developing, and deploying automation scripts for interfacing with devices-under-test (DUTs) and test equipment. You will collaborate with our cross-functional team of physicists, electronics engineers, and firmware engineers to create next-generation quantum instruments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or computer science, with substantial experience in DevOps and Linux environments. You should be proficient in Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Python scripting. Familiarity with ST Micro software ecosystem, Vivado design suite, and MCU/SoC/FPGA devices is a plus.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $125,000-$150,000.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sets up CI/CD pipelines and test server racks for DUTs
  • Develops and maintains automation scripts in Python for interfacing with DUTs and test equipment
  • Collaborates with hardware engineers and assists with board testing and hardware bring-up
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of our development process efficiency
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • At least 2 years of directly relevant experience in DevOps, Linux environments, and automation scripting
  • US export control laws require U.S. persons, including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and certain categories of refugees, and asylees
  • Must be comfortable working in a laboratory environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and collaborators, both written and verbal
