Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with their healthcare needs as directed by clinicians, including performing 12-lead EKGs, blood draws, and initiating Hep-locks.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing, aerosol treatments, and ensure the daily completion of quality controls, defibrillator checks, and refrigerator checks.
  • Transport patients and perform ABGs and gain IV access as directed by orders.
  • Prepare patients and the care environment for exams, specimen collection, and anticipate the needs of patients and providers proactively.
  • Perform delegated basic procedures as described in the annual competency-based tool and orientation program.
Requirements
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
