Overview

At Universal Health Services, we are committed to providing quality and compassionate care to our patients. Our Partial Hospitalization Program is a short-term, group-based program for individuals requiring a higher level of care.

About the Role

We are seeking a Full Time Therapist to join our team in Lowell, MA. As a Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering direct services to clients, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions. You will also participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and ensure that any treatments delivered are within your scope of training and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Individualized Care

You will work with clients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals. This may involve providing individual, group, or family therapy sessions, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals

You will work closely with other therapists, doctors, and support staff to provide seamless care to our patients. This may involve participating in treatment planning meetings, consulting with colleagues on patient progress, and communicating with families and caregivers to ensure they are informed and engaged in the treatment process.

Support Clients through Crisis Situations

You will work with clients who may be experiencing crisis situations, such as suicidal ideation or self-harm. In these situations, you will provide immediate support and intervention to ensure the client's safety and well-being.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Related Field

A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required. We prefer candidates with a Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work.

Spanish Speaking

We serve a diverse population, and proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.

License Eligible (LMHC/LCSW/LICSW)

Candidates must be license eligible (LMHC/LCSW/LICSW) and working towards licensure.

Prior Experience at Higher Level of Care

Candidates should have prior experience at a higher level of care, such as a psych hospital, residential program, emergency room, etc.

Comfortable Working in Fast-Paced Environment

Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling clients in crisis situations.
