About the Role

The Vice President of Real Estate, Facilities, and Planning will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and management of Berklee's physical assets. This includes leading the planning and execution of real estate initiatives, facilities management, capital projects, and sustainability efforts to enhance the campus environment and support the institution's mission and goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership and Planning: Develop a long-term campus master plan that integrates academic, residential, student life, and community needs into the real estate and facilities strategy.
  • Real Estate Strategy and Management: Manage relationships with external partners, including developers, brokers, and governmental agencies.
  • Capital Projects Planning and Management: Collaborate with academic affairs and administrative departments to align capital development plans with the needs of faculty, staff, students, and the community.
  • Facilities Management and Operations: Oversee the development and implementation of facilities management standards and policies.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred; relevant real estate, architecture, engineering, construction management related discipline preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with senior leadership, trustees, faculty, students, and other professional staff.
