A typical day for a Technician A includes performing routine scheduled maintenance services on cars and trucks, as directed by a Manager or Service Advisor.

Your day will involve carrying out basic automotive repairs, adjustments, and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: oil changes, tire replacements and repairs, and general vehicle upkeep.

In this role, a Technician A will also have the chance to:
- Execute automotive repairs, adjustments, and maintenance tasks as specified on repair orders
- Complete fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, and advanced repair and maintenance tasks, including electrical repairs and diagnostic assessments
- Drive vehicles into the service area, prepare them for and conduct digital vehicle inspections
- Test drive vehicles and prepare them for customer delivery after necessary repairs and maintenance are completed
- Maintain a clean and organized shop to ensure a positive experience for members/customers
- Collaborate with, mentor, and train less experienced technicians

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, or Technical school certification
- Valid driver's license
- 5 years or more of experience in vehicle repair at a dealership or automotive center
- Knowledgeable about automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources, capable of independently performing a variety of basic repairs and maintenance tasks

- Understand and consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools used in repair and maintenance, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

- Able to consistently deliver exceptional customer service and enhance customer satisfaction scores

Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE Certifications (A-A8) with Master Technician designation or equivalent combination of technician certifications and ASE certifications
- ASE certification L1-Advanced Engine Performance Specialist
- State inspection certificate where applicable
- AC 609 Certification

Work Environment:
- May encounter intermittent loud noises and odors in the shop environment.
- This position requires standing, walking, and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grasping, lifting, and carrying automotive parts and equipment (averaging up to approximately 80 pounds in weight)
- Must possess personal tools appropriate for skill level for use in the center.
- Must be able to work in warm conditions, as some locations may lack air conditioning. Fans are available in all facilities.
- Must be able to maintain mobility on your feet in a concrete facility for the entire work shift.
