Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team in a district support role. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications, adhering to regulatory requirements and CVS Health's policies and procedures.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date on changing regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients, customers, and colleagues, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and develop pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing waste.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy by optimizing workflows, reducing costs, and increasing revenue.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the security of CVS Health's assets and property.
  • Workflow Management: Analyze and optimize workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: Hold an active pharmacy license in the state where you are employed.
  • Immunization Certification: Possess immunization certification through an accredited organization.
  • Background Check: Pass a background check, including a review of your criminal history.
  • Education: Possess a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
