About the Role

Cabot Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pack carbon black into bags using packing equipment according to work instructions and quality standards.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, bag packers, and IBC loaders, to move loads and packaging materials.
  • Load finished product into freight trucks according to customer instructions and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on packaging machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Report any equipment issues to the foreman and complete necessary paperwork and forms.
  • Participate in scheduled safety meetings and complete safety training requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Responsible Care Management System, ensuring compliance with RC14001 technical specifications.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 3-5 years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with varying shift schedules and overtime hours.
  • Good computer skills and ability to work with software applications.
  • Physical ability to wear a respirator, as needed, and work in outside weather conditions.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
