Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

**Responsibilities**

* Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective care
* Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation
* Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice
* Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate
* Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implement safety standards
* Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary
* Position patients and perform imaging procedures
* Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results
* Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures

**Requirements**

* Strong knowledge of vascular sonography and diagnostic imaging principles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
