Role Overview:
The Campus Executive Director is accountable for the comprehensive management of a skilled nursing facility and assisted living campus.
This role encompasses oversight of operations, financial performance, and strategic direction in various areas including census growth, financial management, resident care, compliance with regulations, employee relations, and the execution of core campus programs.
The Campus Executive Director will serve as the licensed Director for the Skilled Nursing facility, ensuring full oversight of the campus.Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
- Establish and maintain effective systems for resident care, staffing, financial management, and facility operations.
- Promote a culture of teamwork and excellence among staff.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan to enhance quality care and financial returns.
- Conduct regular reviews of the business plan with department heads to track progress.
Financial Oversight:
- Collaborate with the support center to create and manage the annual operating budget.
- Monitor financial performance and develop strategies to meet budgetary objectives.
- Identify cost control and revenue enhancement opportunities while ensuring high care standards.
Resident Care and Satisfaction:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services, enhancing residents' overall well-being.
- Implement initiatives that foster resident engagement and satisfaction.
- Address resident and family concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Staff Recruitment and Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise qualified staff, encouraging professional growth.
- Provide mentorship to cultivate a positive work environment that supports employee retention.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement necessary corrective actions.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations for skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
- Maintain a safe environment for residents and staff through effective risk management.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and conduct audits to ensure adherence to standards.
Community Relations:
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and community organizations.
- Act as an advocate for the campus, enhancing its reputation and community involvement.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
The role requires regular communication, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Current state license as Nursing Home Administrator.
- Experience in a post-acute care setting.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field.
- Ability to obtain NHA licensure within six months based on state requirements.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Skills:
Effective communication skills, ability to relate positively with residents and staff, and proficiency in basic computer applications.
