Low Voltage Fire Alarm Systems Lead Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Low Voltage Technician to join our team at Gulf Coast Special Systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems, including access control systems, fire alarm systems, and video surveillance equipment.
This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and technologies. The Low Voltage Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties.
Key Responsibilities- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling and systems, including structured cabling, access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems.
- Maintain and repair existing low voltage systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine installation requirements.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare for installations by coordinating with clients and team members.
- Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with all services rendered.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Low Voltage Technician.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in low voltage installations and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, security, access control, CCTV, and fire alarms.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Certifications in low voltage systems, such as NTC, BICSI, NICET, or equivalent.
- Experience with networking and IT systems.
- Familiarity with construction techniques and industry standards.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with relevant software.
