About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic conditions in the operating room
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in surgical technology or related field preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) preferred
  • 1 year of experience in a similar medical setting preferred
