MRI Imaging Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
Screens patients before MRI exams for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts, providing patient support and adjusting scan parameters as needed.
Maintains positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates, following physicians' orders precisely and conforming to safety regulations.
Accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS) and ensures compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
Assists with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
Requirements:
ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography.
Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state, if required.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred:
Bilingual.
