Project Coordination Specialist

The Project Coordination Specialist will serve as the primary liaison for Supply Chain activities, collaborating closely with proposal and project managers, engineering teams, and scheduling departments to ensure seamless integration of supply management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main interface for Supply Chain communications with project stakeholders.
- Assist in crafting tailored procurement strategies and execution plans for project-related purchases, working alongside Category Managers and commodity buyers.
- Generate and maintain Proposal Status documents to monitor and report on project activities.
- Analyze customer specifications and technical documents to assess their impact on business operations, adjusting supply management strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with proposal/project managers to align on proposal strategies and supplier impacts.
- Develop Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages for selected materials and equipment, coordinating supplier communications as needed.
- Gather and present relevant supply management information for inclusion in company proposals, highlighting potential cost savings.
- Ensure all necessary documentation supports pricing and scheduling commitments.
- Lead kickoff meetings post-contract award to discuss sourcing plans and commitments made during the proposal phase.
- Work with legal and project management teams to establish flow-down terms based on negotiated commercial agreements.
- Communicate any deviations from standard terms with commodity organizations and assist in supplier negotiations.
- Support resolution of claims by collecting documentation and developing recovery strategies.
- Report project performance and supply management contributions to executive leadership.
- Effectively manage strategic contracts and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a medium to large organization, with a focus on complex commodities or project management.
- Experience in roles such as Buyer, Scheduler, Operations, Engineering, or Accounting is preferred.
- Training and experience in process improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of project execution principles.
- Prior leadership experience is advantageous.
