Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heating and Cooling Specialist to join our team at Midwest Comfort. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heating and cooling systems, performing preventative maintenance, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and repair electrical and mechanical defects in HVAC systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform seasonal cleaning, adjusting, and repairing of systems, and complete warranty services.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain a detailed inventory of all HVAC equipment and resources.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and adhere to safety standards and company policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Training and Development: Participate in all technical training and comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems, including advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Qualifications: Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record for insurance purposes, and vocational, training, or apprenticeship of an HVAC program.
