General Overview:

The role involves providing comprehensive project management assistance to Project Managers through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document management, and cost forecasting. Collaboration with company superintendents, foremen, engineers, detailers, and management is essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality and profitable projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the bidding process and the acquisition of new projects.
  2. Estimate and negotiate adjustments to contracts.
  3. Monitor, predict, and report on labor hours and material expenses.
  4. Oversee the procurement of major equipment and subcontracting.
  5. Facilitate and monitor the delivery of essential equipment/materials.
  6. Maintain a thorough understanding of general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contracts/subcontracts.
  7. Ensure document management aligns with UMC Standards and contractual obligations.
  8. Work closely with field labor supervision to organize and schedule project tasks, including the preparation of integrated project schedules.
  9. Review contract drawings, detailed drawings, and specifications.
  10. Prepare fabrication shop work packages, including detail drawing assessments, material take-offs, and fabrication budget planning.
  11. Guarantee adherence to UMC Safety Program standards at the job site.
  12. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential job functions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain strong client relationships.
  2. Enhance and retain knowledge of mechanical systems, including engineering, estimating, construction practices, and financial management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

A degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering is preferred.

Licensing and Certifications:

Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
