Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for all phases of purchase order administration, from acquisition planning to closeout.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
- Conduct cost/price analysis and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Manage and administer purchase orders, including tracking and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with government policies and procedures, including FAR/DFARS and Agency-specific regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, and three (3) years of experience in procurement, subcontracts, or supply chain.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and integrated software applications.
- US Citizenship and Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance.
- HYBRID role (must work on-site and remote-telework) with a minimum of 2 days on-site per week.
- Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system, to include use of the purchasing module.
- Process improvement experience in a recognized methodology (Lean Six Sigma, CMMI, ISO).
- Knowledge of various procurement types (Cost-Plus, Fixed Price, Time & Materials, and subsets thereof).
