Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Kinze Manufacturing. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the demand releases to suppliers, negotiating purchases, and ensuring technical specifications and timetables are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier and part-specific data in our MRP system.
  • Manage releases and follow up on deliveries in a timely manner to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Resolve shipping and invoicing discrepancies to ensure proper A/P execution.
  • Select and vet potential suppliers for specific commodities and products.
  • Engage in negotiations for price, terms, quality, and quantities.
  • Mange the supplier relationship, including rewarding or penalizing suppliers for good performance or infractions.
  • Identify and realize cost savings through constructive negotiation techniques and sourcing decisions.
  • Monitor new projects and recommend ways to streamline movement of materials and information through the supply chain.
  • Ensure suppliers follow relevant and controllable environmental and safety regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of related purchasing experience.
  • Purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • CPM/CPIM certification or in process is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP software is a must.
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • International shipping experience is a plus.
