We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Department 31, Institute for Hygiene and Infection Control Koblenz, as a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the institute and medical laboratory areas, ensuring laboratory organization, work, and laboratory safety, as well as compliance with quality management requirements.
Your Responsibilities:- Manage the institute and medical laboratory areas with a current staff of 25 employees.
- Ensure laboratory organization, work, and laboratory safety.
- Comply with quality management requirements.
- Support department management in fulfilling cross-location tasks.
- Advise the public health service, interested public, and political decision-makers on topics related to laboratory diagnostics and infection control.
- A medical license is required.
- Several years of leadership experience and comprehensive knowledge in microbiology are necessary.
- Recognition as a specialist in the field of Microbiology and Infection Epidemiology or Laboratory Medicine is advantageous.
- General affinity for IT applications in laboratory and administrative environments.
- Relevant experience in common infection diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to clearly and concisely present complex relationships in writing and orally.
