About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a Principal Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible for performing Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) duties and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities at Schriever Space Force Base in Falcon, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities

  • Author cyber documentation to include SOPs, checklists, implementation guides, architecture diagrams, play book, crew binders, etc. to support Cyber Operation
  • Respond to warning/event/alerts related to cybersecurity activities in near real-time
  • Assist the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with the performance of vulnerability/compliance scans
  • Consult the Cyber SME on alerts and provide necessary feedback to the Mission Director/Lead on detected or potential cybersecurity issues
  • Monitor systems for cybersecurity events

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience with security applications (Data Integrity Tool (Tripwire), Security Information and Events Management [SIEM], Intrusion Detection Systems [IDS], Firewall etc.)
  • Experience in conducting security audits and assessments, as well as using security information and event management (SIEM) tools such as LogRhythm and Splunk for monitoring and analysis
  • Certifications in Computer/Network Operations (DoD M, IAT-III) (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP)
