Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients, including administering prescribed medications and starting intravenous fluids.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care plans.
  • Monitor all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity, and modify treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.
  • Provide education to clients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Prepare clients for and assist with examinations and treatments, and prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university or Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Any related professional work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Georgia License and/or Nurse Licensure Compact Multi-State License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in Georgia.
  • Experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred but not required.
