Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Kaiser Permanente's West LA Medical Center - Orthopedics-Regular Clinic. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, adhering to established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist medical personnel with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic exams.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, height, weight, and other essential data.
  • Administer medications as directed by physician orders, following established protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Participate in the development of nursing care plans and collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform venipuncture and finger sticks to obtain blood samples, as well as prepare specimens for lab analysis.
  • Respond to Code Blues and other emergency situations, demonstrating expertise in basic life support.
Requirements
  • Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level II required.
  • Zero to one year of LVN experience.
