Job Description

We are seeking a part-time cook to join our exceptional team to prepare high-quality hot or cold meals according to our standard recipes. As a cook at Minnesuing Acres, your principal goal will be to prepare delicious meals that meet the chef's exact specifications.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Set up and stock the preparation station and kitchen for upcoming recipes
  • Prepare entrees, breaks, and appetizers required for each shift
  • Report to the kitchen manager and follow instructions
  • Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
  • Operate food production equipment
  • Clean prep areas, workstations, and take care of leftovers
  • Stock inventory and supplies, put away deliveries timely and properly
  • Cook and plate menu items using independent judgment in presentation and food quality assessment
  • Look ahead and prep feature items for following shifts
  • Sanitize all surfaces in the kitchen at the end of each shift
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Prior experience in a similar or related position
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods
  • Possess safe knife handling skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and reliability skills
  • Aptitude for multi-tasking
  • Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently as part of a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends as needed
  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds
