Nursing Supervisor for Assisted Living Services

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is essential in ensuring that the healthcare requirements of all clients are effectively addressed. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor, RN will oversee that the nursing staff is well-trained in Olydia Home Care Inc. protocols and assisted living practices, ensuring adherence to current policies and regulations. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor, RN will also guarantee that the Assisted Living facility complies with the latest licensing standards.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid and unrestricted RN license in the State of Minnesota.
A valid driver's license is required if driving is necessary.
A minimum of three years of experience in relevant fields is required.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
This position requires the incumbent to possess:
- A compassionate approach and aptitude for working with the elderly.
- Effective communication skills with clients, families, and team members.
- Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- The ability to prioritize and organize tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the delivery of Assisted Living services, ensuring compliance with state regulations and maintaining essential documentation.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure the facility meets federal, state, and local standards.
- Regularly update policies, procedures, and related documentation in conjunction with the Assisted Living Director.
- Conduct assessments of potential clients to ensure their needs can be met effectively.
- Monitor and maintain accurate resident records and care plans, ensuring timely updates as necessary.
- Supervise nursing and unlicensed personnel, providing training and evaluations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with medication administration procedures and oversee the management of medications.
- Maintain communication with clients, families, and staff to facilitate coordinated care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute positively to the work environment.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Support the mission and values of Olydia Home Care Inc.
- Remain available for on-call situations and medical inquiries.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
