Key Responsibilities
  • Develop custom policies for buyers, sellers, and passive investors to protect against risks associated with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Work closely with owners, investors, attorneys, finance executives, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Review transaction agreements, financial statements, due diligence reports, and other relevant documents to assess potential risks.
  • Negotiate escrow, indemnity, limit, retention, pricing, claims period, and other terms to ensure optimal risk management.
  • Establish deductibles and specify definitions and subrogation to ensure clear understanding of policy terms.
  • Draft proposals and policy terms to ensure effective risk management.
  • Bind policies to ensure seamless implementation of risk management strategies.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, risk management, or underwriting.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance transaction risks and underwriting principles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
