Job Summary:

ECS is seeking a talented AI/ML Healthcare Expert to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).

As a scientific and technical advisor, you will enable the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts, shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions, and integrate and advance our nation's healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as an AI/ML expert, advising and guiding program initiatives related to the integration, adoption, and institutionalization of AI/ML techniques, methods, and solutions within the healthcare setting.
Analyze and interpret complex healthcare data, ideating and establishing initiatives to enhance diagnosis, risk assessment, and drug discovery.
Stay current with scientific advancements, actively tracking and analyzing new research findings in the field, identifying and proposing emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.
Collaborate effectively within a diverse team, building strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.

Requirements:

PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific field.
10 years minimum AI/ML experience.
8 years minimum experience in natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs) within the healthcare ecosystem.
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required per contract.

Salary Range:
$100,000-$180,000
