US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team.
Job SummaryThe CT Technologist will be responsible for coordinating and administering all CT radiologic exams, ensuring technical quality and timely reporting of results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and experience working with CT scanners.
Responsibilities- Perform CT procedures as ordered, achieving a high level of quality.
- Offer expertise to physicians regarding appropriateness of additional/modified studies.
- Escort patients to treatment room, assist with dressings as necessary, and complete all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of CT services.
- Develop and process radiologic films, log radiologic procedures completed, and process routine paperwork.
- Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Ensure the safety and physical comfort of the patient while in technologist's care.
- Conduct daily quality control measures to monitor machine performance, report all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the proper company or facility.
- Arrange preventive maintenance as recommended by vendor, follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
- Order, log, and return outside films requested from other agencies, complete appropriate documentation.
- Arrange for the release of films to patients and outside agencies, maintain paperwork for tracking loaned films, and maintain confidentiality of all information related to patients and medical staff.
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
- Minimum three years experience as a CT Technologist.
- Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required.
- Current IV and CPR certifications required.
- Certification in CT preferred.
