Disability Solutions: Assembly Line Worker Role

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Line Worker to join our team at Disability Solutions. As a key member of our production staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our trailer manufacturing process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assembly Line Operations: You will be responsible for assembling various components of trailers, including frames, walls, roofs, and electrical systems, based on detailed blueprints and instructions.
  • Power Tool Operation: You will operate a range of power tools, such as drills, saws, grinders, and sanders, to perform cutting, drilling, and fastening tasks.
  • Quality Control: You will inspect and ensure the quality of completed work, identifying any defects or issues that need to be addressed.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with other members of the production team to meet daily targets and maintain an organized, efficient work environment.
  • Safety Protocols: You will adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Carpentry Experience: Ability to work with wood and metal to create frames, trim, and other structural components.
  • Welding Proficiency: Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding to join metal parts and structures.
  • Fabrication Expertise: Experience in cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts to precise specifications.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Knowledge of basic electrical systems and wiring for installation of lighting, brakes, and other trailer components.
  • Sheet Metal Handling: Experience in working with sheet metal, including cutting, bending, and fitting into place.
  • Power Tool Competence: Competence in using a wide range of power tools for cutting, grinding, fastening, and drilling.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or a similar assembly role is beneficial.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Physical Stamina: Good physical stamina, as the role involves lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Commitment to Safety: A commitment to workplace safety and following all protocols is mandatory.

Compensation Package:

  • Salary: The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
