The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Microbiology to join our team and contribute to improving the quality of life for patients through cutting-edge research and development.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, execution, and publication of outsourced or collaborative studies for drug programs.
  • Oversee data quality control and ensure data dissemination through a database.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies for study results and their impact at internal and external meetings.
  • Contribute to scientific writing for reporting, data management, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), clinical trials, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Liaise with contract labs on advisory functions related to microbial and antibiotic materials.
Requirements
  • A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in microbiology within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and technical expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
