About the Role

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in a self-contained classroom setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including the classroom and community
  • Collaborate with school teams, including general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support
  • Attend staff meetings, IEP meetings, and other professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and research-based interventions
  • Must have a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS-1) endorsement
