About Our Next Financial Coordinator

The Financial Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring cohesive financial communication within the organization and implementation of our budget plan. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for our staff to understand and act within the established financial framework of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Coordination
    • Communicate with Staff and bookkeeping team to ensure deadlines are hit for regular monthly reporting rhythms.
    • Assist staff leaders to understand, track, and manage their sections of the budget.
    • Provide reporting, analysis, and forecasts to senior management.
    • Coordinate with bookkeeping team and audit team to ensure timely completion of annual financial statements and tax filings.
  • Budget Management
    • Work closely with VP of Mobilization and Administration to understand and sharpen budget policy, keeping published documents accurate to current decisions.
    • Provide budget analysis of decisions and scenarios under consideration.
    • Train staff on budget process and expense protocols.
Key Relationships:

The Financial Coordinator reports directly to the VP of Mobilization and Administration, Ben Flemming.

Hours:

Full-time (40+ hours per week)

Job Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Bookkeeping, budget management, or financial oversight role experience required.
    • Ministry experience in church or para-church settings is preferred but not required.
  • Location:

Fully remote position, with a preference for candidates who are located within commute distance of either of our offices.

Travel:

Some travel may be required.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Degree in accounting, business, or math preferred.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Are a quick and eager learner in all areas.
  • Impressively organized with great attention to detail.
  • Possess high moral integrity, emotional health, social awareness, and spiritual maturity.

  • An evangelical Jesus-follower who loves the gospel and evangelism.
  • A wise and mature believer who knows the Word of God and seeks to follow it.
Fundraising and Salary

Salary range for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 based on experience and qualifications.

As a distinctive part of this role, Decision Point Ministries is a non-profit ministry where every member of our staff is involved in fundraising for both financial and prayer support.

We believe that this is a vital aspect of our ministry and an opportunity for our staff to grow in their faith and skills.
