Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Geisinger Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for administering magnetic resonance imaging to diagnose medical problems in patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture high-quality images on MRI scanners to aid in patient diagnosis
  • Follow physician orders to determine which body parts to image and assess images to determine if additional images are needed
  • Work closely with patients to ensure they are prepared and comfortable before and during procedures
  • Take patient medical histories and answer patient questions
  • Position patients for scanning and shield areas of the body that do not need to be examined
  • Keep accurate patient medical records
  • Provide excellent customer service and prioritize/multi-task calls
  • May need to lift/move patients with physical disabilities
Requirements
  • Evidence of current AHA BLS credential
  • One year of current MRI tech experience
  • Graduate of an accredited program for MRI tech/certificate programs/Associate's programs Clinical Internship
